Ted Kennedy

Ted Kennedy is an artist based in Brooklyn & Hudson, New York. He has an MFA from Bard College.

My work, primarily film, video, and installation, focuses on how a person, real or fictional, is determined by the conditions of their environment and their personal history. I use archival recordings, ephemera and documents, reenactment, computer-generated images and fabricated objects to explore the ways that individuals come into being. Moving between original and appropriated materials, the videos challenge notions of stable knowledge and received wisdom.
