Andrew Norman Wilson
In 2013 Andrew Norman Wilson participated in Image Employment at MoMA PS1, To Look is To Labor through CCS Bard/Basilica Hudson with Harun Farocki and Lucy Raven, and Palazzo Peckham at the 55th Venice Biennale. Upcoming exhibitions include solo shows at Fluxia in Milan and Project Native Informant in London and group exhibitions at at The Centre Pompidou in Paris and Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing. He was recently an artist in residence at Impakt in Utrecht and at the Headlands Center in Sausalito, and is an upcoming resident at Schloss Solitude in
Stuttgart. He has lectured at Oxford University, CalArts, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Universität der Künste Berlin (UdK), Parsons, NYU, and others. His work has been featured in Aperture, Artforum, Buzzfeed, DIS Magazine, Gizmodo/Gawker, Kaleidescope, The New Yorker, Tank Magazine, and Wired. Wilson currently lives and works in New York, where he teaches at Parsons and Bruce High Quality Foundation University.

Workers Leaving the GooglePlex investigates a top secret, marginalized class of workers at Google’s international corporate headquarters in Silicon Valley. As I documented the mysterious “yellow badge” Google workers, I simultaneously chronicled the complex events surrounding my own dismissal from the company. The reference to the Lumiere Brother’s 1895 film Workers Leaving the Factory situates the video within the history of motion pictures, suggesting both transformations and continuities in arrangements of labor, class, media, and information.
